Jaws is none responsive using Skype chat. I assume I need a script upgrade, unless someone has a simpler solution.
thanks to anyone who has a solution.

Hi,

I don't know if your problem is caused by not having scripts for Skype 6, but if you want them, you can get them from http://www.dlee.org/skype/skype6.php

The scripts wouldn't necessarily solve a problem with unresponsiveness but they will certainly make skype much much easier to use in general. Good luck!

Why not just get GW skype? Easy as pie to use, no scripts necessary.

It depends on what you're used to; I've been using Skype in conjunction with scripts for so long that I find Skype very very easy to use, and it's not as though the scripts are difficult to install and/or maintain. By contrast, I've seen people struggle to make GW work properly, and while it may well be a viable option, stick with Skype and scripts if that's what you're used to as it works very well for most things.

GW-Skype also doesn't have all the features of Skype, or at least it didn't used to.

or you could do what i did... try both and figure out which is best for you.
BTW its called GW Connect.
no it doesn't have all of the features of Skype. GW Connect is based off of the skype API that lets developers develop programs that can interface into Skype.

I like Skype with the scripts. I posted on the other board that was created where to find all the info looked for.

Oh, definitely try both. The only reason I didn't was because I'd had no reason to switch as I like how skype and JAWS interact using the scripts.
